The overall feedback was that the packaging wasn't representational of the "Curious" nature of the brand, it was very generic and high end / expensive and didn't fit. There were elements of the design that he felt were good; enclosing the logo in some form of shape (not a circle or anything very hard edged) as this can be transferred across all the packaging. the minimal typeface (future) of the product name. I need to go and find the packaging and then work against them as there is no point trying ot design something then finding a format that I think suits it and find the design doesn't fit. He said to try and find packaging for something other than food maybe...and then apply it to the design; this could represent the curious nature of the brand.
I need to go back and look at the word CURIOUS and how to represent this through design (type, image, etc) and find something that fits with all the sections of the brand.
I need to photograph all the packaging on one day in natural light then play around with them on photoshop.
Truffle Packaging_Stage 1
I was able to get feedback on these designs in my progress tutorial with Andy and I have picked out the parts of each design that are worth moving forward with and developing further.
