I now seem to have enough research for the content of at least one of the publications to be getting on with developing some designs for it.

After the research I found that there was not enough information or photography about them on the internet and in online magazine issues to be able to feature them in the publication so I have had to bring in more established artists.

The first publication will feature;

MAYA JANE COLES

AUDIOJACK

MATT LANGE

Revised Content

Many of the DJ's and producers that I wanted to include in the editorial range, I cannot find enough information on them so I am going to research all the information I can find on a wider selection and then revise the list of who I am going to include in each.

Updated Content List

For each artists I need to collect and organise data on;

- Name
- Logo

- Label / Unsigned

- Genre

- Bibliography

- Discography / Album Artwork

- Interviews

- Track listing (or charted tracks)

- Events / Tour dates

- Photograhy

- Pages (Facebook, twitter, soundcloud, beatport, website, blog)
- Quotes - this could just be on the introduction page of each artists (full spread photograph of the artists on the other size of the double page spread)

I have made a list of what to include in the publications. I have decided to showcase 3 artists in each publication, giving me a minimum of 12 artists showcased.

Ideas for Content of Publication

I have been researching the content of other music magazines and house music websites to see what they include and write about, just to get a general idea of the type of information the target audience will be wanting to read about.

Artists Choice

I have gone through the blog and looked at the artists and DJ's that are reacquiring the most throughout the blog. I want to create a range of 4 - 6 editorial pieces so I have to decide how I will divide the content, if I do a separate book for each artists or if I have 2 or 3 artists within each design.

The concept of this piece of design is to showcase and promote artists and DJ's that are not well known. For this reason I will not be including Julio Bashmore and Maya Jane Coles as they are already well known.
