Designs always look different on screen to when they are printed out, so I chose the top 5 and printed them out to get more feedback.
The main census was;
- that the bolder typeface (Futura) was better because it reflected the heavy weighting of the curve of the S
- The adapted 'S' was better than the original, more circular 'S' because it unified the logo rather than creating two sections.
- I should adapt the curved 'S' more to ensure that the weighting was the same as the rest of the word
- increase the X height of the "S" so that it is not as compressed and more rounded like Futura.
- The extended part of the 'S' was done very briefly so isn't smooth so I need to go back and perfect this.
I need to combine the elements of 4 of the logos but this is the main one that I am going with, a fair amount of tweaks to be made and I may try and adapt the main body of the typeface so that it is more stylised and original to Curious Eats.
I am still interested in using this typeface (Walkway Bold) because I feel it looks more 'high-end' and professional...
