AMORE SHAMOO & OIL RANGE - Product Based

POSITION STATEMENT

- A print based investigation of colour and typography with a focus on beauty and retail products.
- A print based investigation of branding and packaging with a focus on typography and print processes
- A print based investigation of branding and packaging with a focus on beauty products and print processes.

RATIONALE

I am going to develop a range of printed packaging because it will develop my print skills
I am going to develop a range of proposed bottle designs because it will develop my software and design development skills.

PRODUCT / RANGE / DISTRIBUTION

I am going to develop a range of bottle designs and packaging for the shampoo's and oils aimed at 20-50 year olds, in a range of stocks, colours and print finishes which will be distributed in specialist beauty shops and hair salons.


ROOFTOP HOUSE MUSIC EVENT


POSITION STATEMENT

- A print and screen based investigation of type, grid and colour with a focus on house music events in London
- A print based investigation on branding and promotion with a focus on house music events for 20-40 year olds 
- A a print and screen based investigation on event promotion with a focus on motion graphics and typography. 
- A typography and print based investigation on music event promotion with a focus on hand and screen rendered typefaces

RATIONALE

-  I am going to design printed promotion for the daytime rooftop house music event because it will develop my grid, layout and colour skills
- I am going to produce a typeface for the event because it will increase my typography skills. 


PRODUCT / RANGE / DISTRIBUTION

- I am going to produce a range of printed promotional designs for the event on a variety of scales; posters, flyers, billboards, mail outs, invitations exploring different stocks and print process that will be sent out to a select mailing list, promoted in and around cities and tube stations in London. 

- I am going to produce a gift bag for every person leaving the party with a range of promotional design work relating to the even, promoting the music, the night, the area, and all the people involved in creating the event. Included in this will be flyers, stickers, key rings, small packaging with some form of promotional gift inside. These gift bags will be given out when leaving the event. 


CURIOUS EATS CATERING - Product & Skills Based


POSITION STATEMENT

- A type and images based investigation of branding, packaging and editorial design with a focus on michelin star catering
- An editorial based investigation of the branding and promotion of a curious eats catering company
- A screen based investigation of the branding and promotion of curious eats food company
- A print based investigation of editorial design with a focus on the menus and recipes created by Curious Eats
- A print based investigation of packaging and promotion with a focus on the food and drink products by Curious Eats.  
- A print based investigation of branding and promotion with a focus on the the identity of Curious Eats. 

RATIONALE

- I am going to develop a zine / booklet of the recipes and menus because it will develop my editorial, grid and layout skills. The range will include different types of food / drink and focused around different events / parties and locations. These will be available online, sold at various catering events.  

- I am going to develop a printed promotional pack because it will develop my branding skills and extend my knowledge of print processes and finishes. 

PRODUCT / RANGE / DISTRIBUTION

- Branding and Idendity designed accross a range of business cards and printed promotion. . 

- The Zine / Book will be on order from the website or mailout. There will be a range of different types of recipes and booklets; Curious Eats, Curious Meats, Curious Treats. These will be able to be purchased in local deli's, independent food stores in the local Shropshire area. 

- Create the design for a website

- Branding & Identity - business cards, invoice slips, letter heads, stationary
- Packaging for the chutnies, jams and the food packages
- Promotion for Curious eats - flyers, mail outs, posters
- Editorial piece / zine - menues, recipies
- Pop up shop stand design - proposal?
- Website - update and rebrand so it is more accessible.

LEEDS NIGHTLIGHT / MUSIC EVENTS -


POSITION STATEMENT

- A print and screen investigation of event promotion with a focus on Leeds nightlife and music events
- A type based investigation of printed promotion with a focus on Leeds house, jungle and drum and bass nights out. 
- A type and image based investigation of branding, colour theory and promotion on Leeds house music
- A web based investigation of typography, colour and photography focusing on the promotion of Leeds house and dub events. 

RATIONALE

- I am going to develop a web page that shows all the top nights in one place to because it will develop my web design skills. 

- I am going do develop a promotional print range because it will develop my type, grid and layout  and language skills. 

- I am going to develop a series of print and screen promotional designs that incorporate photography do develop my photograph and photoshops skills. 

PRODUCT / RANGE / DISTRIBUTION

- I am going to create a web page with a range of pages which focus on the different genres of music / nights out in leeds. This will be available online and be promoted by print.
